Casio CZ-5000 - first session | Synths and Sounds

I just got my first vintage synthesizer.

The Casio CZ-5000 came out in 1985. Being a competitor to the famous Yamaha DX7, Casio had a hard time getting into the professional synthesizer market. They soon stopped making synthesizers, even though they created an unique digital synthesis method called phase distortion. Casio did great in this way but could never get rid of their reputation of making cheap plastic keyboards.

I just played around with the sequencer when I got the synth, using nothing but the 32 existing presets.
I was really amazed what this early digital synthesizer can do, ranging from fat leads over deep basses and even impressive percussion sounds!
