Good review. As a science educator myself, I find that Wier's science-focused writing is fantastic. Scientific problem solving is how we get the amazing world we have today, after all. I recognize that the general population struggles with really tough science, though. I think Wier does a great job of keeping it somewhat accessible. 5/5 Stars for me.

I absolutely LOVED Project Hail Mary. It was my first Andy Weir book, and it did not disappoint. It was fantastic as a buddy read as well! I agree about the long sciency explanations...I skimmed a lot there too. Most of it just went over my head anyways XD I definitely want to read The Martian in the future :P

I felt the same way! Loved the writing, story, and characters, even got emotional many times, but man, those science lessons... were a bit much at times :D
