Opera Trilogy by Jacob & Co

We already knew that the Opera line by Jacob & Co was quite exuberant with this mix of music boxes and horology, but it has now been taken a bit further with the addition of a minute repeater version! Yes, as if the original version was not enough, well now you will also be able to make this timepiece chime on demand, but naturally this required a few modifications of the original versions.

The case size has not varied, but instead some of the turning mechanism has been removed to allow to incorporate the minute repeater function and the hour and minute dial is now found in the center of the timepiece.

But since we are talking about the Opera line, we were also able to get our hands on two versions we hadn’t yet seen with a black titanium version of the Godfather, as well as the Scarface model introduced last year.

As other people have commented, the only "but" I can see is that the tourbillon cage should rotate smoothly. I know it was you, Fredo **stares at designer**

What I've always wondered with these Jacob&Co watches, is why is the tourbillon movement so janky? Is there not enough torque in the mainspring barrel to ensure a smooth movement, or is there something else going on? You can also clearly see this (even more) with the Jacob&Co Twin Turbo.

Not being a fan of large watches myself, I can say, if one were ever going to buya huge watch... one of these would be it! Wonder what they cost..?

Great video, amazing watches, very complex and very intricate, personally the buttons on the shirt of the godfather statue bother me a little but they're probably only visible under macro so who cares. The only thing that prevents me from buying a timepiece like that (apart from the price) is that I would be afraid not to break the sapphire by hitting a door knob, that would be a big shame
