Absolutely agree with you Adam, it's a great track as all others on your album. Sometimes we have a lot of things we must say to the people we love. But then we think we'll do, but not now. And this "not now" becomes "never"...
Lyrically I like the line: "What do you want from me?" It always reminds me about your first super hit. :)

So relatable - you think things in your head and think you have said them out loud OR you expect the other person to just KNOW what you are thinking without your having to say it ... Not only with new people you meet, but also long standing relationships where you think the other person should know you well enough to not have to explain everything to them (such as in "games that I didn't play" where the fact you perhaps did NOT say it, should have told them what the situation was)

I was once in an h&m store and they were playing this song so while my friends were browsing through the clothes I started singing along to the whole song and people in the store just gave me weird looks lmao

It's not really a commentary when one just re-states part of the lyrics. We were told that in literature class. Lol. Music styles I didn't know so that's new for me, but this one is expeditive. I think people really need to listen/read the words and work it out themselves. I LOVE the fact there's commentaries but then I will get people arguing back that the ONLY valid statements are those explicitly made by the singer. Use them as a guide but don't be dependent on it. By the way: when I am asked "what does it mean for me" I do make my own interpretation, but it centers around the artist's existence not around a dubious conceptual transfer to my own life. Does that make any sense?
