Bloom Plus BP3000 LED Grow Light PAR Testing & Review

Here is the Bp3000 by Bloom Plus. This LED grow light was sent out for testing and review by the company. The Bloom Plus BP3000 has 1174 Samsung 2835 diodes. This grow light is made up of 3000k 5000k 600nm deep red to increase efficiency and 730 ir to add infrared to the spectrum.

The Bp3000 uses 2 Done brand 150 watt drivers, one for each of the quantum style boards. The lights are covered in an acrylic coating to ensure the board is suitable for higher humidity conditions. As always we test the PAR and include detailed maps, test the wattage draw from the wall and the heat output after several hours of use. We were also able to determine the efficiency of the LED grow light based on the information we gathered through testing.

Overall, this grow light has good PAR output but it runs fairly hot. Additional cooling is required for best results like a fan and good ventilation. For coverage, it will give ample coverage to a 3'x3' area.

When you referred to 22" above for veg in a tent was that with the drivers dialed all the way up? And at flower what height above would you recommend?

Should I really go with their reccomended settings? As you increase intensity, it seems like the lumens/kelvin goes up. However, isn't vegetative supposed to be 5500 kelvin? It almost feels as though the intensity should be higher to start, then reduced, to 2700-3200 kelvin; From 100% down to 45%~. Other grow videos stated full intensity was too much, in vegetative, causing down-turning of the leaves.

I got this grow light off Amazon for $230 and it kicks ass in my 48x48x80 tent. Yes, it does run hot but just put a $14 cheap 6 inch fan on it and there is no problem. Room temperature is 69°F and my tent temperature is 73°F. Got a fan on heatsink, fan on floor of tent and a exhaust fan at the top of tent.

this light on amazon now states it does 5x5 veg and 4x4 flower. thats completely bs right?

I just bought this light and its my first grow. I have a 4x4 tent. I was wondering if i have to adjust the sensitivity of the light or is it on full blast from tge factory. Thanks

Good vid I got two 4000s im sticking one in my 3x3 overkill or what lol ill gave to turn it down and keep it up high should work amazing though

Couldn't they fix the heat problem with a rubber bushing to hold the driver up higher? Could even do a re-call on it or just send them out upon request.

Seems to me ...the coverage they say for quantum boards are over exagerated ...i have 2 sf 2000 spider farmers and i cant completely 4 pkants ...whuch are fairly big plants ..., put a quantum biard over a big plant and you will see your not getting tge coverage .i think tge teack lights are the way to go because you will get tge coverage . Where as quantum boards the the best numbers are more localized ...what do you think

I run a fan across them just for alil cool off I feel like it might help preserve the lights and make them laugh a little bit longer if you just have a consistent airflow blowing on the back of the drivers and cross the top plate

I seen somewhere that they were adjustable? Maybe that would take care of the heat problem don't know how sensitive the adjusting is?

My bp2500 pulls 290 from the wall . The moso driver has more headroom

Done drivers, done like dinner, no high end Samsung diodes but still good samsung diodes just not lm301b or lm301h. Keeps cost down wile still performing.

I have this light and I just noticed that it doesn't turn completely off when the timer shuts off. I have 3 lights on the same timer and 2 turn off but this on just dims down, it's still putting off light.

I just got a BP3000 today, and there is now a non-heat conductive spacer between the board and driver. Not much, but should alleviate the heat transfer a little..

I'm thinking about buying that 1 and lowering the voltage to 150w and putting in my 2X2 tent. My 1 concern is the 2 cheap drivers. I would love it if they would leave a option to have way more cord to post them out of the tent.
