If you are building in a solid rock soil for a one floor house (depending of the dead weight of the load) three feet is not necessary.
The formula used will determine that.

how to find depth of foundation? hire several standby men. supply them with shovels. tell them to dig until they are tired in the prescribed pattern sketched on the cardboard. if humidex is excessively high stop frequently for lounging and drinks.

Greetings! What a cool idea. Thank you for an informative video. May I ask sir, if for example I am going to raise 4ft building but the side are different. I mean the ground is not flat the other side is lower and the other side is higher, how shall I measure the foundation of that building?
Let's say the other side is 8ft lower. Should I add more feet on the other like? Should I plan for 16ft? I'm wondering what would happen if this is the case?
