I love this piece. I played this (the melody) on the Tuba 30 years ago in Solo competition. Keep in mind, this is from Schumann’s Album for the Young, which is a collection short pieces written to be playable by children and beginners on the piano. They are generally not more complicated to play on piano than modern pop music (if you can play and arpeggiate the I, IV, V, and vi chords in various progressions, you can play 90% of modern pop songs since the 50s). Chopin they are not, but they are still delightful.
