It's humanity's greatest crisis and we can't ignore this anymore: We are running out of people. Countries are facing potential extinction before 2100. Elon Musk and others have sounded the alarm. The decline in population will change our world in dramatic ways.

Animals don’t breed well in captivity. And the world has become an open air prison. What did you expect would happen?

This is all by design. Powerful people have worked hard to make this happen for many generations.

The human race isn't dying out, but we northern Europeans are. We are being replaced!

I have been married to my wife for nearly 20 years. We have six children. Quite frankly, we were never able to "afford it" by the definitions westerners use to justify having children. But we did.

I live with constant anxiety about the future. I have absolutely no faith in any governments, institutions or churches here or around the world. They are all complicit in this malaise. More and more, I feel like we are on our own.

Like so many of us, my ancestors were homesteaders. They knew how to survive with much less (and still have children). We now live as the human equivalent of declawed housecats. That is what this era has done to us. We have maintained little to none of the knowledge needed to survive outside of this house of cards.

I resent this modern life while being grateful for the things it has provided me. I am dependant on it. I also do not think there was anything glamorous about how earlier generations lived. They were simply surviving.

I do not feel prepared for the future. I am not confident that we are ready for what's coming next.

Average house price vs. average salary, lack of community, egotistical cultural impact.

I don't know what to make of this. I am already 55 years old and the world never felt that full as right now. Where ever you go there are people and noise. It never was like that. And humanity thrived when the world was less full.

I don’t think a lower population is a problem but importing replacements is.

Only a few years ago the problem was that the world was "overpopulated" now all of a sudden it's a population crisis.

Many people today are lonely, isolated and unhappy. There is a stark lack of community, friendships, family, general support. We are totally at the mercy of our employers for our paychecks as the only means of survival that we have. We have little to no control over our lives. There is hopelessness in the air and a constant sense that an impending disaster is on the horizon. Why would people want to have children in such a situation?

There will always be more than enough people. The real problem is that the intelligent and productive people are not having children while the stupid unproductive people are having more than ever. The future will actually look a lot like the movie "Idiocracy."

i notice this is my neighborhood. When i was growing up, i would see go carts, mini bikes, kids on bikes, balls in the street, the street being used for sports, skateboarders, etc. It's like a ghost town now.

I am mother of 4. I decided to have kids only because I inherited small, old house in little village in Poland after my grand parents passed away. We are still working on renovating it and it will be long time before its super comfy and fully functional. My point is: I WOULD NEVER DRCIDE TO HAVE KIDS if it wasnt for this old hut. I have friends who have 1-2 kids and would decide to have more but they simply cannot afford it. One income family is almost impossible now, women have to work as well and they cannot afford to buy bigger place to live (families live in small apartamentach and pay the interest of morgage for 25-30 years), not to mention daycare or being able to afford decent, healthy food. How do you expect people in their reproductove age to decide to have more kids when they can barely earn their own living? 🙄

A future were all houses are empty, but you still cant afford to buy one of them. Let it rot lol

Perhaps it is best if we go through another dark age and reset it all. If this is progress then who needs it? Concrete jungles are not how we are supposed to live.

I live in a small rural mountain town and it's pretty chill here. Don't worry, it's not as bad as people say. I have 2 kids myself. I know you have kids too. It will be ok and if it's not, nothing lasts forever. Everything that is happening, has happened and will happen is meant to happen.

How can there be more children when marriages are dead!

We're living in a world where two parent households, both parents working standard 9 to 5s, barely make enough to maintain the household in first world countries. Here in the UK, immigrants, including illegals and "asylum seekers" are given a house and money while old native Brits are told they're not eligible for winter fuel allowance and basically being told "feed yourself and freeze or go hungry and stay warm". This is being done under a political party that built its reputation on being for the common, working class mind you, and they can't throw those people under the bus quick enough. People who have nothing but contempt for human life and innocence are working in law enforcement, healthcare and the judiciaries. The rich are getting richer. The bloodline dies with me, thank you very much. I have enough worries of my own without the incomprehensible dread of what could happen to my child.

I am 51 years old, never met the woman that I wanted to marry. Also, for so many of us, life just does not seem worth a damn. No freedom, no money, it seems like it gets worse every year. I try to keep my spirits up. I go to school, go to the gym, do my best; but, I do not want to have kids.

Many men walking away from marriage & children because of the risk of indentured servitude via divorce courts. Just one of the MANY reasons why population is now falling. I wonder sometimes if this has all been designed by those in power. 🧐

It seems like people don't get it. I mentioned in a comment a few weeks ago that the UK is in negative population growth. I got shot down by some because of the asylum seekers populating GB. But the native population is in negative growth and its the same for lots of western countries. I have 2 children-1 has opted out of having children and the other has 2 children. Looking at it in a microcosm, there are not enough youngsters in my own family to sustain us in the future. Not sure how to deal with that but perhaps some of the taxpayer money going to other countries for green initiatives and wars should be spent in our own country to support families so that 1 parent can stay at home and we don't need dual, income to survive.
