I was adopted. My mother hung a picture in my room that said "not flesh of my flesh nor bone of my bone, but still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute, you didn't grow under my heart but in it."

I grew up reading that and its a phrase that I'll never forget. It made me feel so special and loved and chosen.

Adoption can be so magical.

Adoption is the most selfless act a couple can do! All four of my paternal cousins are adopted. We loved them from the moment we knew of their existence, Prayed for their safe passage home (two came from other countries), and have always loved them as our own. I wish you the best in your journey.

As someone who is adopted, you are going to give a child a life they couldn’t ever have imagined and love they deserve. Congrats and best of luck, there are definitely tough times but I wouldn’t change being adopted for anything
