As a resident of UAE, I can correct something. Yes, the workweek used to be from Sunday to Thursday, like other Gulf nations, but then they shifted to a 4.5 day workweek, from Monday to Thursday, with Friday being a half-day.

Edit: The shift was from the 1st of January, 2022
Edit 1 (some guy reminded me about this): Sharjah has a 4 day workweek instead of a 4.5 day one.
