When you tryna apologize to your boss but you bow 44° instead of 45°: 💀💀💀

I remember complimenting a girls outfit once- she was in full pastel purple and she said thanks and gave me the 45 degree bow and I’ve never felt so special in my entire life.

The deeper the bow, the more respect given. Legends tell of the mystical 360° bow, but nobody who's performed it lived to tell the tale

Bow at 90 degree and now you are not only losing your balance but also paying the biggest biggest biggest biggest respect to whoever you are bowing to

In India 🇮🇳 we directly touch the toe🐾 170° to respect elders 😂🤣 and it's most rare & important act

POV: You go apologize to your maths teacher but he pulls out the protractor and you were only bowing 44.5 degrees

First time someone actually tell how people bow down in japan instead of the aggressive 90 degree one😅

I saw a video of these Japanese doctors that couldn’t save a child but the parents donated his organs to help other children.
The doctors bowed almost head to knees it was powerfully touching.

The way she bowed at the end, i think it means she appreciate us to watch the whole video.

Japan has a special place in my heart. Truly a beautiful culture and community, and I’ll always be thankful for their hospitality 🇯🇵🇺🇸

It would be cool if all people around the world would wear their traditional cloths. It would make visiting different countries so much better.

I got to admit, when someone bows respectfully at you for helping them out... You will feel a new level of respect and appreciation from a stranger and it will stick to you.

I'm Mexican, and I lived down the street from my friend and school buddy who is Japanese. The cultural clash was certainly very odd for 13 year old me. In Mexico (and Latin America in general) the common greeting between friends is a hug and kiss on the cheek, or a handshake if it's more professional/business or when you're first meeting a person but physical affection is very important to us especially with family and close friends because it's a way we strengthen our bonds with one another. So when my friend invited me over for dinner i gave her mom a hug and kiss on the cheek when I introduced myself which she was very taken aback by 😅 but she didn't say anything to my face. It was also strange to me how quiet they were during dinner and my friend was equally shocked when she came over to my house for a meal and music was playing, we were all talking, laughing, cracking jokes, and me or any of my siblings/cousins getting up randomly to grab something for one of the adults. I don't know if it's cultural or just her family but no one got up once during dinner at her house anytime I went there. She moved away a few years ago but we're still friends and we laugh about it now. It's always nice to learn about other people's cultures and traditions

This cultural difference is so crazy!! I'm from Brazil and here we greet each other by hugging and giving a kiss on the cheek. I had a friend who came from Japan and when I went to greet her with a hug she got scared 😅

The hotel staff and also the taxi driver both gave me a full deep bow sending me off back to my home country. Almost cried

In India 🇮🇳 we wave 👋 with one hand for a quick casual Hello, we join hands 🙏 for an Official greeting or humble way of welcoming or thanking AND touch feet ✋🦶 for the highest way of taking blessings or saying hello only done to Elders highly respected. ❤😊

Edit: The touching feet includes bowing to the lowest so that's a sign of utmost humility. Btw we love Japan & Japanese culture ❤️🇯🇵😊

Stopped at a truck stop while a bus stopped with orientals tourists, , , seen an older gentleman from the tour group standing outside side waiting for his party, , , , I smiled at him and gave a head nod downward, , , he smiled and gave me a 15 degree bow, , , , never felt so respected in all my life😊

I honestly love the way their so scarred in their behavior and their respectful when it comes to greeting someone. This is one of the reasons why i think our culture is a great exaple..
