I’m a music head. Remember the first song I heard at 5 years old. It was barracuda by heart back in the late 70s. I fell in love with rock after hearing that guitar.

I was an MTV child. I discovered the cure/the cars/Duran Duran/ and many more in the 80s.

I graduated in 93 in the height of grunge. The singles movie was big then. I still listen to that soundtrack often. That’s when I discovered Paul Westerberg which led me to the replacements, which led me to left of the dial music.

What is one of the most saddest things I think of is this: we can live to be 100 years old and still not hear every song ever created.

I always heard the first line as "little barrio band" in the original. For some reason that line seemed so out of place but so awesome.

If the Replacements had a better drummer from the start….someone like Freese….they would have been huge! A band can only go as far as their drummer can take them….their are no killer bands with subpar drummers!
