A 13 year old and a 50 year old hears this piece in different ways. For me at 54, this is an amazing look back at where hip hop has come from. For my 13 year old son, this is an amazing look at hip hop's trajectory moving forward. For me, it's about what was built. For him, it's about what we are building.
