Everytime I hear the words " For my Saviour Loves me so " automatically tears well up in my eyes. Hallelujah what a Saviour ! What an incredibly beautiful hymn sung with genuine Love and emotion.

This was my COVID song. When the world was spinning out of control, I held onto this song and the promise in it. Even when my husband and I had COVID, I hung onto my faith.

In June my 95 year old father had to relinquish my dear mom to a care home because of her dementia and broken pelvis. Her grief and his at the separation has broken all our hearts. Covid lockdowns have increased the pain. In his sadness dad's heart has been focused on a 91 year old memory of riding on an empty hay rack as a little tyke with his teen aged uncle. As the horse began pulling faster the little boy began bouncing and tumbling on the wooden bed of the wagon. In panic he cried out to his uncle, "Hold me, hold me! I'm almost falling!"
Meanwhile our family friend had a strong unction to send us this song. When dad listened to it he couldn't believe it. "Those are the words from my childhood memory that I'm constantly calling out to God, Hold me, hold me! I'm almost falling!"
Praise God, He hears and He holds!

In late 2021, my only daughter....not yet 22, ran ahead to Heaven unexpectedly. The body of Christ...and music like this has help sustain me and remind me that our time on earth is but a eternity is forever and I will see my precious Camryn again <3

As our most beloved contemporary hymn, I stood next to my husband, hand in hand, and sang this song many many times! He would squeeze my hand when he could tell my tears were flowing. On Mother’s Day 2021, Ben went home to be with the Lord. We sang it at his funeral/concert. The Lord gave me the strength to sing every word on that day, and the many times since when, as one of the music leaders at my church, I have chosen, and led this song in worship. How wonderful to know Ben’s faith has been turned to sight! My tears did flow today though, as I listened to this heartfelt and worshipful performance!
