They can spend 13, 000 dollars on stumps but not provide commentators a decent chair.

Meanwhile Hindi commentators: "So beautiful, so elegant just looking like a wow" 🤡

To be very honest Harsha had a valid point here. If its allowed then allow it to both bowler and batsman. If not then deny it to both bowler and a batsman. Fair

I would say the switch hit is okay as long as the LBW laws are adjusted to remove pitched outside leg after the batsman has switched. To actually even this out for the bowlers, they should be allowed to manage the ball since the bowlers cannot do anything with the field settings. That would be fair as it is equally hard to manage the ball and control the reversing ball and thus use it to your advantage just as it is for a batter while switch hitting.

It's not more rubbish than suggesting that 12 runs should be awarded for hitting a 100m six.

Guys harsha is just having fun by throwing this debate. Kp is also smiling. Don't spread hate.
Its a long test match. Commentators have to make it engaging. Just enjoy it 😂

Harsha's capacity to take in harsh words in an argument like this ( I have noticed this coming from Sanjay Manjrekar too in one of his now quite famous discussion with him )is a life lesson . His ability to argue/ discuss with grace is remarkable despite the impoliteness of the other side. I think he once more represented the thoughts of millions of fans and thousands of bowlers in this "debate". Keep it up Harsha . We need you as fans because you represent us and we want you to create few more Harshas in the interest of Cricket and particularly for us fans. KP, I really enjoy hearing you but come on, where else in the world you will get to be a part of such arguments, debated with great points and gracefully . Please shakehands over a meal with him or get invited to his house for a veg. meal and meet his great wife who will also enrich you intellectually .Once more, we fans need you quite badly for enriching ourselves with the threads of this game .. and what a resource you both are .

Switch hit should be allowed, but if the ball hits the pads anywhere near the wickets the batter should be given out. batter cannot have both ways, no pun intended.

Pietersen is gold on commentary. He adds spice and emotions in the commentary and makes us believe that humans are commentating, otherwise, other commentators makes it seem like robots are commentating. Pietersen acts like WWE commentators, where two commentators have a difference in opinions and they argue.

I'm with KP here.. Switch hit is not easy.. Basically you are putting your self at risk to give your wicket away while playing the shot & bowler have every opportunity to take it & At the end of the day as a bowler I'd rater bowl to a Batsmen who's looking to take me on rather rather then bowling to the likes of Dravid, Kallis, Chanderapaul

I agree Switch Hit should be allowed. But Harsha has a fair point then bowler should also have the right to change hands .
Why only batters?

Kp always gives some rubbish statements, some days back he is saying a player should get 12 runs if he hit 100m six. Like seriously?

As soon as an Indian batsman will acquire that skill, it will become legal in the eyes of Harsha.

In my opinion, Kevin is right. There are many instances where batsmen try to overcome bowlers' plans, such as stepping out or moving across the crease. Bowlers can bowl numerous overs, even if they perform poorly with many extras, but batsmen have only one wicket. I believe bowlers already have an upper hand by setting the field according to the batsmen and could bowl according to field bowl. Harsha's conversation is like a bowler should not bowl a yorker if he sets a field for short ball.

If the batsman switch hits the bowler should get the benefit of the doubt on lbw/pitching outside leg/ hitting outside off ie there is no outside leg as there is no true leg stump

Harsha has made a valid point.
Degree of difficulty cannot be a guide to right and wrong.
Though degree of difficulty and the skill required for execution is the reason that this has not become an issue.
However some day, if every batter does this, then it will become a relevant point which may need to be officially resolved, one way or another.

Indian players can't execute this skill, so automatically it should be illegal.

If switch hit is unfair then a fast bowler running in from 15 yard and bowling an off cutter to deceive a batsman should be banned and called illegal.
