#revvg3 Revv G3 Pedal Review (6, 7, and 8 string guitars)

Hey folks! I had so much fun reviewing this pedal - I actually won it in the contest they were having and as I do say that I'd buy it again.. well I mean I suppose I'd just replace it as soon as possible!

There are already a ton of great video demos of this pedal, but this video is the most comprehensive demo I have seen of the G3. I’m really impressed at how the pedal still sounds like a tube amp when put in front of a modeler. Thanks for taking the time to show how the pedal reacts with a regular 6 string, as well with extended range guitars.

Edit: Actually, your riffs throughout the whole video were on point with that sick tone! Spheres of Madness, Death, a shitload of Nevermore...great stuff!

I really like the Trash section on 6 string and some Metallica riffs. I'm looking for a pedal to put in my Deluxe Reverb with the Universal Audio OX (4x12 speaker) to sound like this ... i have to try it but i think it's gonna be great ! Seems to be an amazing stomp box

Hmm, thinking of this in front of my HD500 using plexi/rectifier models. I just want to incorporate a more tubey tone into it and make it almost hot rodded plexi tone, without an actual tube amp haha.

thinking bout buying this as my first pedal. I do have a question. Can I run a boost pedal in front of it? Like a Horizon or a grind? whats the difference in a preamp pedal and a boost?

Just ordered this pedal!! I don't have a amp or cab can I run this through my DAW and then use a cab Sim?

Would you recommend the G4 for a 8 string with fishmans? Running it through an HX STOMP.

Would it still sound good if I use it in an fx loop of a solid state amp. (Joyo zombie -20 watt mesa boogie kinda) or should I buy a good power amp? Thinking of cheaping out and getting a mooer baby bomb 30 watts. I came here mostly bc it's hard to find a good 8 string demo so thanks so much for that. My 8 string has blackouts and my 9 string has 909s.
And would it be unnecessary to boost it with a precision drive? I mainly want to use it bc it has a noise gate. That's sorry for the questions I have tons.

I need to ask you, I'm trying to decide between the G3 and the KHDK Dark Blood. I don't play like "modern metal" I play like trash, alternative rock, heavy metal. I use a Gibson Les Paul Studio and an LTD KH-25 with Emg pickups. Which one would you recommend the most?
