That’s why the @ufc is taking over! Boxing too diluted now a days an the best don’t fight the best, in the ufc we get told who we’re fighting and that’s it!

The amount of belts is a much bigger problem than the amount of weight classes

what's wild is Paddy physically goes through every weight class after his fights

It's safer for cutting weight though. You wouldn't have to cut 10-15 lbs over night. Means your fighting at a more natural weight and your body is healthier when you retire

*They need a 225lbs weight class.* I hate these small jumps in lighter divisions meanwhile you got guys like Boser and Daukus who can’t compete with the giants and deplete too much to get to 205lbs.

225lbs division would mean another belt for HW/LHW and it means more competition and more fights in those divisions.

Thing with boxing is that if you’re not good enough to beat the champ you just move 2lbs every time and get a potentially easier division

They should just add a 165 and a 225. That’s really all that’s needed

Actually I would say IBF is the most highly rated because they are the most strict

he really doesnt have to worry, he isnt getting anywhere near a belt other than the ones he's got from Next

Everyone laughs at IBO, IBF to be fair to them are the strictest when it comes to mandatory challenges but you’re right way too many belts in boxing it causes nightmare politics

UFC still needs a 225 Weightclass in my opinion

The difference is life after the fact. The damage weight cutting does to your body is extreme.

MMA doesn't have as many challengers as boxing does. Their is about 1000 fighters per division in boxing. The divisions were made as boxing grew.

The belts are from DIFFERENT organizations, Boxing itself is a sport and not a League.

MMM also had multiple belts UFC, Bellator, One FC, PFL, and others. One can argue it is WORSE in MMA since that cant fight eachother.

There should definitely be a 195 lb class, Adesanya could be double champ if they had a 195 class and it would serve all of those small LHWs so well

Yeah with the ufc I do think it’s clear there are defined weight classes and you either have the belt of that class or don’t and I get that it’s because the ufc is one organisation but I swear every time I see a boxing match they have like two belts each and I’ve not heard of either one

Meanwhile half the ufc fighters almost die cutting weight and there’s always complaining of “weight bullying”

As a boxer I agree it makes it to where some belts don’t mean as much like there be random world champs

Facts, there should only be 1 belt per weight class aswell in boxing

I think he meant the IBO isnt classed as a real belt. IBF definitely is.

Prestige goes like this:
WBC
WBA Super
IBF
WBO
RING Magazine
WBA Regular
IBO
