Programming the Vehicle Black box DVR

I got a few people asking me how to set up this car DVR. Most DVRs work the same way so if you know how to work this, you'll know how to use the other ones.

Turn DVR on with side button. Press M button on right to select the mode you want to program. Video, photo, or playback (sideways triangle). I showed the programming procedure for video capturing. The photo mode is similar. Select the photo (camera icon) and press square setup button on left to program.

For playback, press M button to select playback of either photo (arrow), or video (filmstrip icon). . Scroll down with left arrow to select the mode. In playback mode, press square set button to delete photo.
In any mode, press setup button 2 times (square button on left side) to set date/time, light frequency, format etc. I choose 720p with motion detection off. The dvr will start recording and stop when you turn on and turn off ignition. I selected 3 minute video clip segments. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and we'll explore together.
TO CHANGE LANGUAGE: To change language, Press power on, the camera will start recording, press ok button on top right to stop recording, then press middle button on left side of screen 2 times, you will see a wrench symbol, press down arrow 3 times to scroll to language (ABC) symbol, press ok button on top right of screen, using arrow to pick your language (usually English is the first choice). Then press ok again to select the language. Press M to exit.

I have just purchased this.  Your video was very helpful, but when testing it only runs a while and then says CARD FULL.  I thought it would just continually loop.  How do I set it to overwrite the older ones????

I got one of these, and it appears that there may be no internal battery. It only works when plugged in, and it says the battery is fully charged when it is plugged in, but then it shuts off and the date/time memory goes away when it is unplugged.

It can be used as a spy camera ? To connect it to a 12V charger on Timmer, and start recording automatically at set time .... For example, the timer is set to ignite at specific time and off after an hour. You need to press each time the recording device, or automatically records when automatic timer starts .

I am buying a second one of these because the first one broke. The port broke which you plug in the camera to the power cord from the car lighter supply. It is soldered on by just 5 contacts and possibly its frame. I went to plug it in and the port had disconnected and fallen into the camera. I cut open the port area and retrieved it and attempted to solder it back on, but failed. I suggest adding some super glue to the port area on the back side, to bond it from being supported by only the solder.

Liked the video didn't quite explain all the buttons, but I've sussed out most of them M = Mode Menu button has 3 options Setup Video & Still
Hope you can help, in the setup menu in Auto power in has 3 options Off 1 Min & 3 Min which should I choose, so that when I turn on ignition the camera starts to record and records all my journey ? Or is this the wrong program to control that.

Great comments guys, mine wont charge for some reason, the little red light comes on for about 5 minutes and then goes off? I've tried charging it from my laptop and the car but wont fully charge. Then when I do switch it on it lasts for only a few minutes then goes off! How do I charge this thing??

Need help with vehicle Blackbox DVR I had it set up working perfectly. Now it comes on if I take out the power cable and put back in but only for few seconds then stops. Has it given up the ghost. Have had it for about 3 years with no problems.

It's March 8, 2018. I just got mine, an XME dvr vehicle blackbox dvr. It's stuck on the date 2017/01/01. How do I change the date stamp?

I bought one of these, videos good but when I take sd card out to download on tablet, i only see ablank screen with voice, what is the problem, ty

He mentions about deleting only being able to when it is connected to a computer. If you go to the film symbol as shown at 4:08, and then press the menu button the option for delete appears. Another thing he mentions is not to use the motion detector. I activated this before watching this video, and it causes problems. You will find it difficult to program whilst it is switched on.
