The best thing about a van is being able to go back and forth from front to back without going outside. Thanks great video!

Started with a 38ft motorhome, was really nice, but the maintenance cost was outrageous.
Went to a 42ft. fifth wheel monstrosity, way too big for the two of us, and cheaply built, had a hard time fitting in anywhere.
Now i have a lance 975 with a huge Victron solar package, coustom diesel heater, and every factory-installed option you can get. Very well built.
Hauling it with a ram 3500 HD dually 4 wheel drive.
A world of difference.
Now, we can go just about anywhere with a lot less stress.
And i can still tow a small trailer or boat of needed.
This setup has opened up opportunities for remote camping we never had before.

Use to spend so much time setting up camp with trailers, getting up on boards to level, then unhooking, then put the stabilizers down then adjust the levelling again, then pulling out the grass mat chairs n tables. Then packing it all up again n hooking her all up again...😖. Now with truck camper, i pull out the boards to level still, pull coffee machine from the sink, n pull out my chair from trucks back seat, done. Love the simplicity 😁. Oh n my favourite, so easy to turn around n go back the other way when i goof up! 😂.
And verses a van, my bed n table never have to be rearranged to be used 😊. 🍻

Had all the rv’s over the years. Travel trailers, 5th wheels and 3 campers. Campers have worked the best for us to get us off road and away. Currently have a 2012 Ram 2500 with over springs and a 2002 9.10 ft Adventure camper. Put on 16000 km this year from Utah to Dawson City in the Yukon. Gives us everything we need, category 3 hitch on the front for 2 Ebikes and inflatable Kayaks fit in the back seat. Great way to be outdoors for 2 70+ year olds

Your first point as to why you chose a TC was the exact reason I chose one as well. I have no real confidence in todays build quality of most units including trucks, That and the fact that any kind of pullout can be accessed makes the TC a winner!

One way to keep the truck size and also use a camper is simple. Change the bed to a farm flat bed and install side boxes for storage. )))

My wife and I tried a travel trailer but having to tow was a pain especially as you say in town or city areas. Sold that after one year and did a lot of research on vans the past 2 years but could not justify a camper van build that is over $200, 000 as the popularity dramatically increased prices. Even used campervan builds that are 4 x 4 were just too expensive and too close to new pricing. Truck I have is a dually so natural decision to go to truck bed camper . Allows me to use truck for work and can throw on the camper when I want.

Kevin, im sure you have figured out that I watch your videos. Really enjoy them, you are doing what you enjoy and living your self. It was so nice of you to mention Foresty Forest! Him and Rocco sure do some crazy adventures. Your truck and camper sure do fit your needs right now. Yes it is pretty and getting colder…

I am new to your channel. It just popped up in my YouTube feed. I was interested to see why you chose a truck camper. I have seen some, but not many, retired folks using a truck camper.

My husband and I are retired, full-time RVers. We started out in a rather small travel trailer. Health problems required more than that to continue with this lifestyle.

Now we have a 28 foot Class C which suits us very well. My husband can no.lomger drive, so I drive! And we tow our Jeep on a trailer! I do this! Testosterone not required!

I drive and my husband can get a snack, or get to the bathroom whenever he wants. We have a slude-out. Life is good.

Different things for different people. I will subscribe to your channel to see what you are doing. Happy camping!

Look for wedge style foam/pillows. They come in many sizes and could help with you sitting up in your bed.

Thanks for all your insights on what rig would fit you best, I chose a 28ft Class C, because it fits me and my 2 medium to large pupper dogs. It's my mini home and I can go anywhere I like, I'm not afraid to drive it, park it or go shopping. It's the lifestyle I always wanted, I love waking up in the quiet forest or in the middle of the desert surrounded by mountains and blue skies. I can park alongside a river bank, an ocean or a little stream. I love my home on wheels.

Get a triangular wedge pillow for sitting up in the bed against that slanted wall. Makes a big difference!

Hey Dude👋🏻 another good video brother. I love your positive attitude, I think that’s why I enjoy your videos so much, I think I just need your positivity. I can’t wait to finish my 02 NL 10-2 and start bouncing around. I’m all the way at the opposite end of the west coast from you in San Diego. We have no winter here😂flip flops and socks. Hope my comment finds you well Kevin. 🤘🏻😎keep on keeping on!

I’ve had both a travel trailer a and camper. The camper is way more versatile. Yes its smaller but half the time you are outside around a fire
