NO average joe is going to spend 55 or 60k on a midsized truck, and neither should you!!

We as consumers need to vote with our wallet and not buy these absurdly overpriced products

The only thing stupider than a $55, 000 Tacoma is a $65, 000 Tacoma.

Toyota jumped the 🦈 for this rollout for the package/pricing-release. Add this to the dealership markups with fluff packages and it’s a loss for the customer especially the working class being priced out of a decent Offroad truck

Bought a new Tacoma TRD Off Road w/manual trans in 2022 for $38, 500 out the door. Use it mainly for camping & exploring while pulling a small teardrop trailer. No problems. Love the truck & the ride. Live in the Tampa, FL area & camp in the Blue Ridge & Smoky Mountain areas several times a year. Still use my 2004 Chevy Colorado 4x4 for my "dirty" work.

I bought a frontier this year after trading in the 2012 frontier I had for 11 years. You can’t beat it with a stick. But I know they don’t rake in the views. Powerful drivetrain, 20 mpg, high value. So far STILL so good!

I watch your channel not because you may be first or last, but to see what your point of view is. Your channel brings value because (you) look at vehicles you test drive a little differently than the other channels. I am enjoying your videos about the Tacoma because this may be my next truck. Not going to stop watching, I will be in the order bank with you next year.

$55K-$65K for a turbo 4cyl mid size truck? It's crazy to spend that much on a truck and it doesn't even have a V6 at the very least.

I think it is a smart move. I am waiting to get what I want too, hybrid off road long bed and mid trim. I’ll wait as long as I need to get the one I want… and hopefully interest rates will tick down during the waiting process while I continue to build a larger down payment. Good luck on the trail hunter!

That sounds good, Tim! I agree with you on the ridiculous prices. We'll be here when you get it. I'll watch most of your videos anyways. 👍

The first problem is consumers are buying these trucks. Instead they should leave them sitting on dealers lots, dealers and manufacturers would be forced to eventually lower the prices to something reasonable.

To much $$$ for me. I bought a 2023 Ridgeline Sport that came with everything I wanted for OTD price of 41K. If I could get into a Toyota full-size for 10k more I’d do it. This is coming from a devout 30 yr GMC Sierra Crew Cab owner that told GMC they priced themselves out of my league. Don’t buy them & price will drop. Lots today are jammed … especially with Rams. 0:15

Sorry man, but if you think the top trim is going to be sub $70k, you haven’t kept up with toyota prices. They always jack up the rare models.

I realize it's a few years now but in 2019 I purchased an off lease 2017 Colorado LT V6 4x4 crew cab long bed with the tech package with 17, 000 miles for $26975. There wasn't a scratch or mark on this vehicle and was sold by an off lease company with a lifetime powertrain warranty. I could have bought 2 of these with money left over for gas for the price of that Tacoma.

This is why I love your channel Tim. You have a real common sense approach which makes you relatable to your audience. TFL and TRDJon don’t give a crap about relating to any of us. As far as I know you will always have a loyal audience keep doing what you’re doing cheers and Merry Christmas

I am so glad you are going with your gut. The only person you need to compete with is yourself. I am looking forward to the new rig when you get it. Your perspective will be fun, interesting, and educational.

I don't know the hype for buying 60K+ midsize trucks. Towing and payload limited. Toyota's major % demographics for the TACO is probably late 20's to early 40's. People are getting into such debt to just own or be the first to have (look at me...smh). If people just kept their current trucks an extra year and let these sit on the lots for a while, that may actually force the manufacturers to either give discounts or price these trucks lower to start. At some point you have to ask who is buying these cowboy trucks. I'm done ranting, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this way.

$60k OTD for a midsize pickup with a 4 banger, assembled in Mexico? I don't think so.

People will come to regret the purchase of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma four-cylinder turbo engine . It will never last as long as the V-6 that it replaced and people will learn this the hard way
