i would put TBOI on S tier, that game has influenced the genre so much + it has way more content than most of the S tier games( hades, STS, ROR, brotato)

Noita is definitely something I think should be higher. Yes it can feel a little unfair occasionally but for the most part it is an amazing game with some great depth

Children of Morta changed my brain chemistry forever. Even on solo. Amazing characters, combat, worlds, graphics. I adore the hell out of it.

This has got to be one of the strangest lists on these games Ive seen. A lot of mid games in the A tier, yet Spelunky 2 in D?

I know everyone is a different person, but Isaac ranked #20 is (I know I am biased with like 4000 hours on it - This also may be pre-Repentance DLC as well which was great). Respect to the Hades, Slay, Brotato, Risk of Rain, and some of these others I haven't heard of and want to try. Thanks for the video.

To add on Returnal has such a cool art-style that is so otherworldly, that it carries the game a lot. It’s very Geiger-esque and I love that. The bullet hell nature of it is also just really aesthetically pleasing. Difficult, but rewarding. Solid 8-9/10

For me, Noita is the best slow-paced careful roguelike as opposed to the faster ones. I love that game so much, it's just a shame I've only been in a fast paced game mood for the last while so I haven't really played it much lately lol. As someone else said though, I can understand why one would place it lower without a lot of hours in it, there's a really big learning curve. I would really recommend watching DunkOrSlam's videos on it, he explains a lot of things especially about wand building in a very great way.

Thank you for doing this. The only rogue-like games I've played are FTL & Hades. I definitely concur that you may want to try FTL again with pausing.

I am actually surprised you didn’t include Brutal Orchestra, given all the other niche games.
You should definitely check out brutal orchestra! It’s a rougelike where you use different colored material to use your character’s moves, and hitting enemies gives you more of those materials depending on the enemy. But, if you have too little of the material you obviously can’t do anything, and if you have too much of the material your entire party start taking damage.
It’s this super interesting game with a WONDERFUL thematic and very interesting gameplay that really forces you to think about your next moves carfully. That means, if you like rougelikes where you becomes so powerful you basically can’t be defeated, then the game is not for you. If you however like games where you are massively rewarded for critical thinking, it’s definitely one of the BEST in the genre!
