Putting together by far the lightest and most expensive BMX bike I have ever owned!
Firstly we check out my 2 previous bikes including the one I won my first X Games Gold medal on and the one I'm currently riding on tour with Nitro Circus!

Then I go through all the parts that went into this BMX as well as how much it all ended up weighing!

This was a huge investment for me and I hope you all enjoy the video and I'm looking forward to making future videos for you all with this super light BMX!

Huge thanks to the people and companies that helped me get this BMX together!

Wow mazing Sir Ryan, I am already old, 51 years of age but I was one of those BMX bikers during the 80s and we ramp, assemble our own bikes, I was in a BMX group called Red Line. The brands popular then were Araya for the wheel rims, Diamond back for the body, Haro for the handle bars. Thanks so much to you and all of the BMX great heroes who kept the BMX spirit going. And of course I am a big fan of yours Sir Ryan. You are my young hero Sir.

Damn, the crank alone on my 90's GT Vertigo probably weighed more than this whole bike. It's amazing how much bikes have changed in that amount of time.

well I had a BMX once, right after my mountain bike, and honestly, it was awful for anything other than smooth pavement. When I tried taking it on rocks, rain, or even just grass, it was a nightmare. The small tires and lack of suspension just couldn’t handle the rough stuff. It felt like the bike was going to fall apart with every bump. That’s when I realized how much better mountain bikes are. They're built for the tough stuff—rocks, rain, dirt, grass—everything. The suspension, the sturdiness, and the grip make such a difference. Mountain bikes just feel way more reliable when you’re dealing with all kinds of terrain. I’ll take that any day over a BMX.

It may sound quite "ghetto", but when I've scraped up black pedals or brake levers or bar ends, I've been able to cover it up with a "Sharpie" permanent marker and it's a pretty good disguise, plus cense you ride brakeless no worries about it rubbing off. We all know how frustrating scratching up new and expensive goodies can be. Good luck.

Shoutout to Mike Laird for making a sick frame, maybe hyper specs, but he made the frame.

You can shave little more off if you really wanted 😁
-Ti pedal spindles
-ti seat bolt
-ti spokes
-ti bar end bolts/or plastic bar ends

If your really feeling yourself
-ti forks
-ti bars

I remember I rode one of the grim reaper ti frames before was pretty crazy how light it was.
I used to have a buddy back in the day that had 18lb bike and he didn't even have ti frame he would take spokes out of his rims. I forget his setup but it was stupid light (felt like you were riding a twig and it was going to brake if you landed wrong😂)

Had a bmx as a kid, CW racing. Pretty neat bike. Not a believer in the seat. Could make it lighter by eliminating it.. Seems too heavy and it will fowl up tricks cuz its in the way

I did 16 pound with the eastern grim reaper (steel 4pound frame ) in around of 2009.
With all the lightest part available at this time. Lot of TI parts and TI crank and axle though. Have to say i’m machinist so i have mod some part also haha
