This 36-CD set completes the reissue of Michel Corboz's complete legacy of recordings for Erato. In classical and romantic repertoire he faces stronger competition than he did in earlier music, but his virtues as a sympathetic and expert choral conductor are no less evident, and there's plenty of rare repertoire beyond the usual stuff. Those Mendelssohn Psaumes are just gorgeous, I have had that disc (with 42, 95 & 115) for decades. Transcendent.

I have the Elias and Paulus CDs. I don't like these interpretations because they're not dramatic enough when the music calls for it.
