How bad of a hearing loss can you have for these to still be of any benefit.

Hey Doc, I have a straight forward question for you. Do I have to turn anything on, or off in order for this to work while shooting?

I got these for my daughter, and she is still unable to get them to work properly when shooting. She says that she is unable to hear anyone talking. Is there a step-by-step video on how to pair correctly pair them to an android device?

I have a total hearing loss in my right ear due to a childhood illness. I love to hunt but want to preserve the hearing in my left ear and still be able to hear voices and other sounds when I'm in the field. Are there any companies that offer custom electronic hearing protection where I can only order one device?

What do you recommend for someone who is a finish carpenter who wants all these benefits but who also needs Bluetooth connectivity so I can make phone calls without removing these devices during the day? I’m almost ready to pull the trigger on some ESP in ear hearing protection which are $900 but they do not have Bluetooth so I’m dragging my feet. I just had my ear molds done today so I am ready to do something but my Mac budget is $900

Any input on the Phantom by SoundGear? Is it really a hearing aid and a hearing protection device? Thanks for putting out this content it’s extremely helpful!

If i wear foam ear plugs with ear muffs, dual protection is that more than enough to protect my hearing from firing a powder actuated fastener tool which does sound like a gun shot from a .22 caliber gun, i have to use this tool to set traffic counters in the City i work for, i think this tool is what caused my tinnitus/mild hearing loss at 6k hertz, there were couple times I didn’t use any hearing protection and it did hurt my left ear

Doctor cliff. What do you recommend for hearing protection for me on my motorcycle? I wear a full face helmet and have a cardo communication system with built in speakers inside the helmet to listen to music, make and rec phone calls etc. I do a lot of interstate long distance riding so wind noise is an ever present issue. So I want to have as quite an experience as possible while still being able to enjoy music and communicating. Thanks for your time and for your service. Hoah!!

I have severe tinnitus and moderate to severe hearing loss (high pitch sounds). The hearing aids I have now must to be removed before shooting or it hurts like hell LOL. I need good hearing aids to hear while hunting as well as hearing protection for gun blasts. Any suggestions??

Hi Doc, I'm a UK shooter and watched all your review regarding hearing protection (indoor and outdoor shooting) with interest. I always double up using a foam plug with passive ear defenders particularly when using the indoor ranges. My only issue with this method is that it can become uncomfortable after a full days outdoor shooting with my club and the butt can sometimes push on the muff. I've been drawn to a similar moulded product available from the UK (CENS) but have concerns over their prolonged use as I've read that damaging noise can leak through the bone that surrounds the ear which is protected by traditional muffs? Any thoughts.
