Cali has no blade length restrictions. Before I moved to Pennsylvania (grew up in SoCal) I carried a Buck Model 119, and I even checked with an officer to make sure it was alright.

Under California Penal Code Section 17235, all folding knives are legal in the state and can be concealed if they are in the folded position. There is no restriction on the blade length when it comes to owning or possessing a folding knife

I live in California and I love this as I cary big knives and they are legal. It is the sub 2" switch blade that is the CA legal.
