Brown Video Portfolio (Accepted Class of 2024) || Cecile S

Hey guys! This video is a super short one. Basically, this was the video profile I submitted to Brown and UChicago. Since Brown didn’t have any interviewers that were available in my area, they asked if I’d want to make a video profile (in early February) so I did! Since I already had it made, I also submitted it to UChicago. I love this video profile (even though parts of it are cringey) because it really show my personality. I even talked to my admissions officer at Brown, and he told me they LOVED this video and it was one of the reasons they admitted me so early (I was actually put into their admit pile in February according to my portal and IDOC request). That’s the only insight he told me about, but it still makes me so proud! I just wanted to share this video to help you guys see what worked for me. Hope it helps! Everyone, this video is amazing, but I just want you all to know you DO NOT have to have a Hollywood quality video to get in. I literally sat on my couch and recorded myself talking about cafeteria food for two minutes. No cuts. I even did some stuff they specifically said not to do and still got in. DON'T STRESS!!

Why am I binging these, I graduated college in 2019 ;__;
To anyone in the comments stressing-- I applied ED to Brown in 2014 and didn't get in! I was really bummed. But I ended up going to the perfect college for me (Wash U in St Louis), and I had such an amazing time in college. I'm now applying to PhD programs. Work hard and everything will work out!
