Clary sacrificing herself to save not just the Shadowhunters, mundanes, etc. but also Jonathan..this made me tear up tbh

Everyone hated jonathan but clary never gave up on him but this was so sad . The way she was comforting him but she was so heartbroken

I never see it, but Jonathan 's hair turned red again. She killed him but he became good again.

Basically, she only has 1 chance left to use her angelic rune. With it, she created a rune that would make/transform herself temporarily into an angel inorder to save her brother's soul despite of everything he has done

In the book this scene was really sad. Because his eyes turned green, the same of Clary, so I cried so much

Sucks that Jocelyn died on the show. This was one of my favorite moments in the books. Having him die in his mother's arms and as Jonathan just for a moment

The thing that hurt the most is that the "let me go" of Jonathan has 3 different meanings and each is horrible.

It can be :
"let me go" as in "you let me go", you gave up on me and 😭

It can also be :
"let me go" as the first meaning of letting go, like stop hurting me

And also :
"let me go" as let me die, let me go with the angel....


In any case my little heart is breaking 😭

In the books clary only felt disgust every time she saw Jonathan, probably empathy for how he was raised.
That’s why I like this adaptation better, it shows how Clary really loves her brother despite the rest hating him and not giving up on him because it shows how she understood how horrible Jonathan felt being alone all by himself .

Clary sacrificed her brother for the good of the world and showing her cry in pain and sorrow shows the love she has for Jonathan and how it destroys her knowing he dies without being able to redeem himself.

This broke my heart, when they embraced, oh my god I’m sad he and to die but in a way, it was for the best

Clary sacrificed everything for her brother it is sad for him to die I just hope he is happy and at peace maybe being with his mother his true mother at first she saw a monster then she became connected to him and understood the love he felt for her it was beautiful

his emotions and love for her was real, , very real.. He wanted to change for her and he even stopped all in her presence. I wish she gave up everything for him like he would and left with him away from everyone else. Thats all he ever wanted from her was her dedication and love, support and presence. Aww Jonathan. I loved his innocence when he was around her. He loved her like a child would love and always believed her even though she always betrayed his trust. Clary did not try in this scene and she killed her own blood for others. Think about it for a second, how easy is it for any one of u guys to kill your own sibling who has shown he loves u unconditionally and you ll understand that this was cold on her part. They should have jus left together. End of story> Poor guy

I always did love Jonathan from the beginning..even as Sebastian. His twisted unconditional love for his sister, his dark sense of humor..the sarcasm, his dark personality..i always found myself laughing even during scenes that were not funny just because of him, how he said things, the attitude behind his words. This scene broke me😭
