Why do you welkers like wasting money? you just got your combines put together then have to destroy them in under a month. why not invest in a rock picker and use it before planting season. put a plow on a tractor and follow it with the rock picker. you can do this after frost out or do it before winter comes. would save you a bunch of money and time fixing your equipment.

Ah we roll all of our soybeans and still hit rocks from time to time ! What you guys need is flex draper heads but you'd still hit a few rocks . All a guy can do is pay attention for them and have the patience to get out often to remove them and clear the rock trap on the combine. Don't let the non farmers talk their nonsense about picking rocks we all know it's not possible on a large scale ! Keep up the good work and stay safe !

you need a combine with 2 headers - one header in front of the other. The front one picks rocks. Then a second bin on the combine to hold the rocks. With few quarrys near by - a good crop of rocks might be a great second income. 🤣🤣

Some farmers swear by rock pickers, some don't. The Welkers obviously don't. Life moves on.

Totally understand. It is not the "want to" and "need to" or even the "$$$$", it comes down to the four-letter word ... TIME! I believe you ALL, like the most of us, do what you can when you can and manage the rest. Awesome job.

20:40 so we are gonna install a simply safe security system ob the skidsteer. That way we can look 24/7 on our Phone what is going on on the back of the skidsteer.🙃

Curiosity up now on what’s wrong with Cummins. Better harvest than last year. I can remember having to dig rocks out but
On old Allis Chamber drag, there was no rock trap. You had to watch canvas, and lock pro with wheel brake, stopping before rock got in cylinder. Very dusty and itchy work

Why not install a rock box somewhere on the combine, then when you do find a rock, you can put it in the box and haul it out of the field. Eventually you won’t have to stop so often as you slowly get rid of many rocks.

Scott you are such a lovable dork hamming it up to a backup camera.

Backup cameras on skid steers are a must! Especially working inside barns with gates!🤣

People pay good money for rocks, maybe you could market a day where people come and pick their own rocks and pay you for them. Its crazy enough it just might work. That is a bummer on the Fummins, at least it is a pretty easy engine to work on for the most part.

Scott my son's got a 12v cummins and it was doing the same thing. Come to find out that a push tube or push rod had come out from under the rocker and it was not opening the intake valve. Now it looses prime after a few hours and it's got a fast fuel system on it. Going to have to check all the fittings. It's the toys that give guys problems. Good videos welkers. I hope harvest starts getting easier on your combins.

Almost makes me wonder why you don't remove the locks from the cutterbar and let it float. We have some rocks here too, and cutting soybeans with a 1 1/2" stubble height could be a problem with rocks if we use a rigid cutterbar. With the flex cutterbar it normally jumps over them and the auto header height instantly reduces the ground pressure on the cutterbar to let the rock go underneath instead of pushing it and ending up on the platform. Only very rarely do we get one on top of the platform and can normally stop the feeder with the emergency stop button on top of the joystick before it gets to the feederhouse. The little ones that are locking up your belts on your draper are the reason we run 35' auger heads too, instead of 40' drapers. Just let those go in the rock trap, they don't hurt anything as long you remember to empty the rock trap now and then. With the 35' head just turn up the feeder a few rpm's and run a higher ground speed - less header loss too. On our Case heads, Case came out with those steel fingers with the score line where the finger is supposed to break if it hits a rock. That never worked either - they would beat the floor out of the head before those fingers would break. We went to May-Wes poly fingers instead. Way easier to replace a few blown fingers than it is to replace floor sheets.

Put the rock in the tool box of the combine its just stupid to just drop it back in the field. With time youd be rid of all the rocks and itd be easy going after that. PICK UP THAT ROCK AND TAKE IT!

I love the faith your father has. Bless his heart. He loves his pup. Things will work out for you guys. You do need a lidar scan attached to a computer in your tractor set to however deep your planters go to find rocks before you plant in spring. Hey invent that. Every farmer could use one. God bless you all and your fans.

Sounds like you need a Rotoveyer to get rocks out the fields. They work real good. Cut down about 8" and sift things out the soil.

Mike Mitchell is saying today that he definitely wants to talk with you guys soon. He made a comment about it when he was on his Southern Border and he was talking about how you and Tony Fast and everyone are doing. He is struggling under the grasshoppers and light yields. God Bless you all who do just because you must!😌❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
