I think that even though Zayn says that he wasn’t enjoying and that he didn’t wanted to be in one direction from the beginning, he was proud of being part of them and was enjoying being in the band. I think that just a little before the end he wanted to leave. And let’s not forget, this boys were 4/5 years together every day, the thought of leaving the band to explore and discover themselves alone and not as part of a band is not that crazy. I can imagine that being every single day with the same people can be absolutely great but also sometimes not easy and can get tired at some point after so long, and it is understandable. Zayn was the first to leave the band, but I truly believe that even if zayn wouldn’t have left, another band member would’ve left later.
I think that if Zayn hadn’t left, the band could have held a little longer. and I think that Zayn’s departure was affected the band and eventually led to the break up, because one direction isn’t one direction without Zayn. But at the same time as I said earlier if it wasn’t Zayn it was someone else maybe a little later. Each of them made the right decisions for themselves and I really hope that one day they will come back, all of them, including Zayn, work together again and charm us all as they know.
