Hello Guys, welcome to this new tutorial, where im gonna show you how to create beautiful and realistic sidewalks in Unreal Engine 5.
You can use megascans to follow along with this tutorial, but im also gonna show you how to create custom sidewalks to fit your needs, using the free assets i put in the description.

Great tutorial! One quick tip, instead of using a custom size for the spline meshes you can just untick the "Scale to width" box to reset the scale to it's original size. You can also reduce the "Half-Width" and dial the scale in a little easier if you must resize to fit your needs.

I mean, why not just add the sidwalk meshes to the road meshes in blender?! This way you can create one road mesh with sidewalk, then one without.
If you also keep the same length for all road meshes that is not used for long open roads, you can also make versions that have crosswalk slopes on the sidewalk.
And you would perhaps even add the crosswalk paint to the road in it's own material ID so you can add a material with crosswalk texture.

Because using this many splines in games would not be performance friendly at all.... But i guess it's a good way to just make smaller scenes for cinematics and so on. So if you need to build out more custom roads, then it would be good to just add most of the sections with meshes that are not combined.

you can use Allign tool from the Modelling mode of UE editor in order to allign multiple meshes based on your needs.

Pretty good. But you can automatically deform the landscape.
Also, when i make roads, i kinda always want every peace to have the same orientation and scale. So when you swap out a mesh it just works
