She is a part of the iorph clan which can love really long lives so they are isolated from the rest of the world. She gets separated from her clan during an invasion and finds a new born baby being held in his passed mother’s hands. She decides to raise him as her own despite being told to never get attached or love humans. Over the years he grows and matures. From a baby taking his first steps, to a young and playful boy, to the rebellious stage, to where he be comes a soldier to have the strength to protect his mother. Because he joins the army he has to leave his mom and don’t see her in years until an attack on the castle he is serving at. There he meets her and where she says good bye. It is made known during the siege that he becomes a father. It is not said how many times she has visited after she had left, but you see her visiting one last time, the last he breathes, the last words he speaks, and the last time he sees the person who raised him just as he remembers from his childhood.

The last scene is when she leaves he r son, and when he passes. She madea promise to him to never cry, but she breaks it at his death.

I recommend you to watch it. It will give a roller coaster of emotions, but it is worth it
