Good luck with your treatments. It’s incurable but treatable. I was diagnosed in April 2023 after two bone marrow biopsies. I’m in remission after a stem cell transplant last September and on maintenance meds. The exhaustion can be intense. I’m doing my best to simplify my life and reduce stress. 💛

Myeloma symptoms vary from person to person. Exhaustion, increased vomiting due to constant sour stomach, and pain in your larger bones if you have high myeloma count. In my case, my kidneys failed and 8 days of doctors finally yielded a hematology consult and a BM biopsy and the beginning of chemo. You need patience with doctors when given this diagnosis. Remission DoesNot last but the supporting medical staff believe you are cured after treatment.

Best of luck to full recovery. I had a bone marrow biopsy in May for same reason. Mine confirmed small cell lymphoma which is same as I had. But Dr. Repeating pet scan and bloodwork in Sept.

I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in Jan. 2024. Started chemo, numbers kept climbing at one point 60% of my bone marrow was affected, so the next step is an autologous stem cell transplant, over a 5 day period my stem cells were harvested and I was sent home with several side effects. Next week I will be readmitted to receive my frozen, cleaned cells back, I will be hospitalized for 3 weeks ! My hair has just started falling out, I expect to be bald shortly ! This process is grueling !
