Luckily not towards earth directly but a few days ago we were hit by huge one that disrupted magnetic field. ( our shield ) for a full minute.
.afterwards numerous large quakes storms and sudden volcanoe eruption in Africa..as well a Victoria austraila electric plant were effected cutting off power to 350.000 homes in area.

It's a little disconcerting seeing how volatile the sun can be. We have been orbiting for billions of years but it is such a massive force of super heated matter.

Its onnits 11 year active cycle we'll see more of these often until 2025 we'll see more CME, disruption on GPS, more Aurora Borealis and Australis, and more... it'll become more active as we make our way to 2025 thats the year it will be ofbits most active cycle be prepared... its a thing that already happened in the past.

Wouldn't the position of the solar flare have to be dead center on the sun from are view to hit earth

What rotation do we see here?
Is it the Rotation of the Star itself?
Is it the earth traveling around the Sun?
Or Is it a Combination of both?
Or is it actually one of the Satellites around the sun?
