This is how to easily find the BDM model of your PS5 controller, using the serial number...

For those of you who are curious this number is your serial number. You can also find it by scanning the QR code on the back of your controller.

I've personally use this method to customize PS5 controller and have found that it is a reliable method of telling.

Okay guys basically scan the QR code whatever the first number is after the letter is the b whatever version you have example = b040. G10****= b010

Let me ask you a favor. I have one BDM-040 and one BDM-030 controller. When I compare them, I see orange color tone difference on their LED while charging. Not so much but I can notice. BDM-040 is more yellowish orange, BDM-030 is more orangish. Do you see same thing on yours? Could you compare them for me please?
