A teacher in Miami, Florida used a creative way to impress upon her students the importance of washing hands with soap and water amid the coronavirus outbreak in the United States.

For all the naysayers out there as a former teacher of 6 -year -olds, to illustrate that there are microscopic things (viruses, bacteria (in kid talk germs) on their hands even if they look clean I used to get petri dishes from a high school science lab and each kid would put their hand in the medium & they'd put the tops back on their own dish. Lo and behold a week or so later there would all kinds of things growing. Then we'd talk AGAIN why we need to wash our hands before eating and after using the toilet! This is an outstanding lesson for 3 to 4 year olds.
