Welcome to a new Minecraft Bedrock Edition tutorial! Today I show you how to build a fully automatic and AFK moss farm! This farm produces over 61,000+ items/hour! This is a fully automatic and self sufficient moss farm, that can provide up to 80 stacks of bonemeal/hour! Overall its a very simple build, you can have multiple in one area, and its super useful for powering other bonemeal farms! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you did, consider leaving a like or subscribing! 😋

What's the next thing you want me to do? Let me know in the comments down below!

Thanks to Nolan & RedstoneSlime11 for designing the stone generators for this build:)

*Watch until the end at **22:34** You may need to turn it off and back on, for the stone to get converted properly. small flaw with the bonemeal timing circuit. It's not always an issue though:)*
Thanks for watching! I hope you like this moss farm! I got 3-4 other tutorials in the pipeline i can't wait for you to see! Got some rally great stuff! :D Consider subscribing if you haven't so you don't miss them! 😋

1 note: You can have two of these next to each other! The main redstone clocks (for stone gen and bonemealing) can be hooked up the second build to save you resources. You'll need atleast a 1 block gap between modules, and they cannot share minecart systems!

For anyone interested in building this at this point in time, definitely do it. Works incredibly well. If you have completely followed the tutorial to the T and the moss starts growing then stops, Check the hopper loop. Sometimes if the stone area being turn into moss isn't covered on the sides properly moss can drop into that and mess the loop up but its an easy fix by stopping the farm then just putting one item in. Really great farm

Just built this on my PS4 in 1.21 and I forgot how awesome this thing works. No weird cobblestone issues or moss block not being bonemeal’d.

10/10 would build again. Anyone having issues just slow the video down until Silent sounds absolutely wasted and pause it every now and again.

I was able to move the on/off lever...
I noticed in the comments that some have been asking about how to do it...maybe this can help those of us that struggle with redstone. This worked for me. Hopefully this works for you.

- Get on top of the farm and stand on top of all those pistons with the redstone circuitry on them, then face towards the "back" of the farm.
- Turn the system off, if it is not already. Notice the redstone circuitry that you are standing on is powered with the lever down. That same power is keeping the clocks at the back of the farm off also...That is important to remember. If you followed Silent's directions, then the farm is off when that redstone circuitry is energized.
- Orient again, facing towards the back of the farm, look at the block with the on/off lever.
- Look down and to the one side of that block with the lever, there should be a repeater one level down on a glass block. That repeater should be pointing at the block with the lever. Did you find that repeater? This is where we are going to build from...
1a) Remove that repeater.
1b) Place a redstone where the repeater used to be.
2) Place a glass block on the other side of the redstone that you just placed. This new glass block should be at the same level as all those energized pistons that you are/were standing on. So, still facing towards the back of the farm, there should be the corner piston...a step down to a glass block that has the new redstone...then a step up to a new glass block. Good?
3) Place 2 solid blocks in a row on the other side of that new glass block, so they both go straight out horizontally from that new glass block. So, still facing towards the back of the farm, you should now have three blocks in a straight line going horizontally away from the farm. One glass then two solid.
4a) Go out to the new last (3rd) solid block you just placed and turn around towards the front of the farm.
4b) Place a redstone on that new last (3rd) solid block.
5) Place a repeater on the new middle (2nd) solid block. Have the repeater pointing towards the farm. Do not change the tics.
6) Place a redstone on the new (1st) glass block.
7a) Go below the 3 new blocks.
7b) Place a temp block directly under the new last (3rd) solid block.
8) Place a solid block directly under the temp block.
9) Remove the temp block from step 7b.
10) Place a redstone torch on TOP of that new lower solid block from step 8.
- Notice that the redstone torch is energized and that it powers the redstone circuitry up to the now energized repeater from step 5. (Dont forget that the lever is also/still powering everything else.)
11a) Put in the lever and redstone circuitry from wherever you want your new switch/lever to be located, all the way to the block that has the energized redstone torch on top of it from step 10.
- Keep in mind if you want the farm to turn off, then that redstone torch from step 10 must be energized. Then vice versa, if you want the farm to turn on then that redstone torch from step 10 must become deenergized.
11b) Test your new lever and circuitry. Note the position of the new lever and the state (energized or not) of the redstone torch from step 10. Position the new lever to the other position and see if the state of the redstone torch from step 10 changes. If it changes accordingly then you are ready to proceed...if not then you have more figuring out to do to make that happen. :)
12) Position your new lever so that the redstone torch from step 10 is energized.
- We should technically have two power sources energizing the redstone circuitry at this time. The original lever and the new lever (via the new redstone torch from step 10.) Cool?
13) Position the original lever to the up position. The farm should stay off because of your new lever. All the pistons on the upper level should still be energized/extended. The clocks in the back of the farm should not have done anything. Yes, the mine carts might/should have deployed (the power levels changed just a little) but the carts should get locked down real quick. All Good?
14) Now turn the farm on and off a couple of times using your new lever to make sure everything is good...(the actual moss spawning or not is something else to fix. For my system, I place that one item in the hopper clock in the hopper closest to the comparator. THEN turn the farm on. So far, the moss has spawned every time I do this. If that one item starts in a different hopper then the moss will not spawn for me.)
15) If all of that is good from step 14, then you can remove the original lever AND the block that the lever was on.

I personally placed the new lever at the front of the farm. Ran the redstone circuitry under and to the back of the farm. Then used a redstone torch tower up to the energized redstone torch from step 10. I just checked the farm and it works awesome.
Hopefully my directions make sense. Have fun.

Silent! You are the master at this!! Thank you for all that you do. I have been watching your tutorials for a very long time and have been building all your stuff that you share with everyone. Again, thank you.

Finally I’ve been waiting for this since 1.17.30 and I was about to go for someone else’s design because the kelp o tick farms are broken but I waited for your quality and it payed off. Thanks

For anyone looking for 1.20 Realms troubleshooting:
1. Be 100% sure the rails are going the right way, i set my farm the right way but the rails go front to back of the farm, so my rails went the wrong ways. Be prepared to spend a lot of extra time if not.
2. Moss did not spread for me, eventually i replaced all the slabs i could for solid blocks at the moss layer(bottom layer) and that fixed it for me. . Not sure if that was some mistake by me, but the farm did not work until i changed this.

Just built this today (twice, one creative one survival) and can confirm that it works as of the most recent update, Feb. 21, 2022 and the bonemeal return rate is about 300% on average when testing 9 stacks of bonemeal at a time. Thanks Silent!

i can confirm that it works as of the most recent update, April. 26, 2023. Thanks Silent!

For those planning to build this, here are my recomendations.
1) As it depends on you, make the whole farm facing East-West instead of North-South. I didn't do that and spent like half hour dealing with the freaking rail lines.
2)The hopper clock is really important and will broke the whole farm just by having two hoppers with one item each. Cover it well. I made a second row of glass under the one shown in the video, for a moss-block fell in the hopper clock and broke everything.

Was a bit worried that 1.18.10 was going to interfere with this one. But I built it anyway. IT WORKS! Making bonemeal at super speed as designed. Thanks Silent.

Can confirm this works in 1.19 as per June 28, 2022.

Also, it converted a very modest 48 bonemeal into a lifetime supply, so really check it out!

Uncrafted material list:

178 = 2 stacks + 50  SAND
90  = 1 stack + 26  SMOOTH STONE
22   QUARTZ
390 = 6 stacks + 6  REDSTONE ≈ 44 blocks
743 = 11 stacks + 39  COBBLESTONE
390 = 6 stacks + 6  IRON INGOTS ≈ 44 blocks
56 OBSIDIAN
412 = 6 stacks + 28  PLANKS = 1 stack + 39 logs
(probably any type, though you may need a
few more logs if you mix types)

You need a bit more of each material than shown here, but this is pretty close.
Needs more sticks especially.
I didn't include stuff you only need a few of like moss, slimeball, string, gold and so on.
It's not perfect, but I'm sure some people will find it useful.

edit: added stack amount and recource amout in blocks, cause multiple people found the it useful.

Illogical.

Made this farm in multiple worlds/realms & now I’m rebuilding it into a fresh new realm. And I checked my old worlds to see if it still works. 1year later and this contraption still working and still the best moss farm. Nice job man

For anyone whose moss farm isn't working, check the hopper clock to see if there are more than 1 blocks, if there are 2 or more blocks remove them, and then it will start work again (if you took the the blocks out while the machine was on, you might have to turn off and turn on the machine). Another tip is to re-check the repeaters, misplaced or mistimed repeaters can make the farm stop working completely.

Confirming this works on realms. This farm is amazing. You've truly outdone yourself.
