For those who want your rose water to have a pink tint instead of green, use distilled water

To those wondering about pesticides etc - these flowers are from Trader Joe’s. I’m making the assumption that they are organically grown. However, the ideal situation would be to use a rose bush grown without pesticides. But boiling it for 20 min does help to cleanse. You can rinse they extensively beforehand as well. I promise you it’s still not as many chemicals as some skincare products out there.

Make sure you know where your roses are coming from to avoid pesticides.

Adding part witch hazel is great for tightening and toning as well...

The next you make this could you measure the weight of the amount of rose petals you use? Using cups for something like rose petals could be very inexact.

I love rose water, it helps with stretch marks and dark spots too, after I had my second child my stretch marks were really dark and now they are getting lighter, of course I use the toner after lots of exfoliating after a shower but it works!

I think you need to add a preservative to make sure any bacteria from the glass doesnt spoil the rose water

Not rose water just rose tea. For rose water get a pot and fill it with distilled water. Add rose petals and bring to a simmer. Add a bowl or cup to the center of the pot and place a pot lid upside down on the pot. Add ice or something cold to the top of the lid. The condensation will drip into the bowl. Rose water should be clear like water

THIS WILL LIKELY MOLD if you don't use it fast enough
And Not to be all ummm actually ☝️🥸
but this is actually rose tea not rose water, they are pretty similar in what they do though. if you want to make this into rose water put heat safe bowl/cup, or really any container that fits and is taller that the water level, in their initially and put the lid upside down. Then after a couple minutes put ice in the lid this will cause the vapor to condense into your little cup into the center. You'll know you did it right because rose water should be almost completely clear with very little cloudiness or color, doing this distills it so that it can't grow mold

i would go and buy real bulgarian rose water, the concentration you used isn't high enough, from what I know from a bulgarian girl, they use pounds and pounds
