What I like about this design is the use of "double screw" corner brackets for the wheel base struts. Most budget kits use only "single screw".

I like how nice and simple it is. I'm not gonna knock on this guy about his wife "dealing with" his hobby because almost every guy I know is in the same boat. I'm extremely set in my ways when it comes to personal hobbies and happiness. My wife knows that she doesn't have a choice and she doesn't say a word. We work great together and I'm fortunate that she understands the word compromise. Most women don't. She runs the house and does what she wants and I don't give a damn which is why we're coming up on almost 20yrs happily married.

Pull a seat mount out of a car in a local junk yard... most are only held into place with 4 bolts. you could use a manual one to slide your seat or opt for an electric one that runs off of 12 volts.

Hello, that's a great build. Any chance you have the parts list?

Excellent job.

I'm deprived of space too. I was hoping to make something similar, that I can also use as an office chair.

Thanks for the inspiration.

"my wifes... I wouldn't say happy. Shes bearing it" most relatable thing I've ever heard since being married 😂

hello.

Nice DIY rig first of all. Can you help me to understand better what you did between Part1 design and now? especially for the pedals and wheel deck.

With the pedals, its difficult to see how the deck is actually mounted now to the frame and how you put the rig in compact mode under your desk.

As per the wheel deck, I have a TSC PC racer wheel and also would consider to make the deck out of alu profile and have the height/tilting adjustment from this instead of an additional wheel deck. You are talking about 2 levers you added but again difficult to see how they look like in the video.

without being a pain, could consider making another video specifically to show these 2 design changes you made, and also how you slide the pedal deck when you tidy up your rig?

thanks so much

This is bloody brilliant coming from a guy who wants a setup but needs it to be small and be able to be hidden when not in use from the missus…

that's basically what all nose companies are using to construct their sim rigs out of... they're all extruded aluminum. Home Depot or Lowes sells all that hardware. Very nice build!

I'd love to see what kind of levers you used to be able to angle the profile as you did. Pictures or a short video wpuls be greatly appreciated

Great video! Will be very helpful when I build my own rig this year. Stay healthy. 👍

I guess I have the same questions about cost as the posters before me. I really enjoyed your build, good design, consider at least some aspects of it stolen. 👍🏻🔥

Can you post the materials and sizes you used mate?

Mate this is sweet, great set of vids and super helpful. I basically have exactly the same requirements as you, a need to make the rig a bit smaller when guests stay over etc as its in the guest bedroom, so I might try and mirror what you did exactly.

This helps! I have a cheaper next level challenge cockpit. It has the center post that is a bit weak. I’m going to remove the center post and build a wheel stand out of this stuff around the existing cockpit. Ordered the csl dd so need something stronger. Will be more comfy without the center post between my legs.

awesome. Can you design a dual purpose rig, flight simulator with central joystick, throttle and rudder pedals, plus racing car with DD wheel, pedals, shifter and handbrake? Keyboard, mouse pad. Movable parts so that you can transition from flight mode to race mode in one minute? Ah, having the ability to tilt the seat to reflect the different angles of car vs plane sitting position would be also great 😉

Nice build - You can snap the teeth off the back of the angle brackets so they sit flush when not able to sit in the profile slots. (ie - under the wheel base plate)

Good job. It looks like you managed the angle of the dangle just right. The final pedal supports look a little iffy though .

Your rig looks really good. I am sure you are going to enjoy many hours racing about in this.
