Madison played up to her potential. She could do this every time she steps on court. Swiatek played her game but Madison took it to her. She looked hesitant because Madison MADE her think and doubt herself. Real simple. The question for Madison, as always, is consistency, mental consistency. Hopefully these last two matches, which she could easily have lost, are signs she's really maturing mentally into her game.

Unfortunately l don't see anyone being able to replicate what Serena did. Every tournament Serena entered one expected her to reach at least the finals and even win. These days there is a different winner. This could cause the interest in the game to wane as Every sport revolves around individuals.

What struck to me, is that her sport psychologist is not with the team…and the mental side is a half win…how they - coaching staff - can make such a mistake? Her sister being there is nice but really doesn’t help. She has lost confidence on her serve, her forehand and tactics prepared by his coach. Unbelievable unforced errors.
