I just had to purchased a new lawnmower. As a senior citizen, I needed something that is easy to use. I ended up getting a reel mower, you know, an old fashioned one with no motor!! Saving money by not having to buy gas! And while mowing, I pray for family and friends. It is also a good source of exercise!!

That's incredible that Kaden will say no to eating out and instead say 'let's eat at home'.
It just goes to show how we raise our children makes a difference.
Kaden is so accustomed to you living intentionally that he has picked up on those great habits, nice!!

I love mowing my lawn because it is great exercise and saves me from spending money on a gym membership…AND my lawn looks great after I’m finished!

I am retired, and usually travel somewhere each summer, even though I have some debt that I am paying off. To save money, and increase my payments on my debt, and not increase my debt (!) .... I have decided to stay home this summer. Did research and found tons of free activities and concerts happening in my little town over July and August. Also found a couple of things to do that are under $20! So, that's what I am going to do.

My son and daughter-in-law bought a lawn mower very similar to yours. It's electric, runs on a battery and they have quite a large yard. They bought an extra battery to be charging while they mow the first half the yard. Then when the first battery stops, they just pop in the second battery and finish the job. It's much easier than any other type of lawnmower.

I have created a capsule menu plan for Monday-Friday.
For instance, Asian Monday, Mexican Tuesday, Italian Wednesday, etc.
And every three months I change it up.
I just make sure that I have the ingredients for the month.
This has saved me sooo much money!!
Take care🦋💗

I prob won't be the only to say - but, yo Kate - Kaden can mow!! My kids started at 7 years old. They loved it. Sure sometimes it wasn't perfect. But they get good at it. And girl - you will love it.

Gardening started to be fun when I had the time to garden. Before retiring, it was simple maintenance and a chore but now it’s a great way to relieve stress, feel good, experiment with different plants, and be outside. Your mower looks like a dream machine! Good purchase!

I don't LOVE mowing, but I do Love the satisfaction when it is done. I always sit and just look it over (while drinking water!!!) and feel proud I did it myself.

I'm decluttering and selling some items. I've made about $40 in the last month. I'm continuing to menu plan every week, which saves money and food. I curate a capsule wardrobe every season which keeps me from impulse shopping from fast fashion brands. I keep my house clean, which makes me grateful for what I already have. ❤

Ever since the beginning of 2021 when we saw exactly where our economy was going to go👎🏼we started our pantry & freezer stock up. We made sure we found good sales and payed attention to the small things so we could spend on the fun things. Our savings give us such peace of mind. Living below or within our means is not difficult IF you have no credit card debt. That is the key. We learned that lesson in the LAST RECESSION. It makes all the difference. ❤️👍

Honestly, keeping an inventory of what I have in pantry, fridge and freezer is essential for me because that's my starting point - I've already bought those items. It was years before I learned to shop first from what I have at home! My shopping list begins with anything I need to buy to make the ingredients I already have at home into meals. The second sort of item on my list are the ingredients on special offer at the supermarket, which I use to make meals from too. The last things I buy are full price items which I am running low on and anything else I need to make a simple, healthy and preferably cheap dinner with. Planning my meals for the coming week(s) means I can avoid overbuying and stay within budget.

Happy weekend, y'all! 😀

I order my groceries for pick up from Albertsons - this saves me money and I usually buy just the lost leaders - I arrive and have them bring my order out then I go in and JUST go to the produce dept (sometimes the meat markdown bin to check that) and pick out my items. Yes, it is an additional process, but I get to pick my own. It saves me from over spending by not going up and down every other aisle. I always ask the clerk who brings out my order if I can leave my car parked there as I need some more items. I have never had them say no. Yay!! for mowing your own yard- the finished lawn always makes me happy and proud of myself 😊

"We just moved in", 15 years ago! It does go by really fast. Time to make some upgrades. Saving up!
We have the same mower! Be sure to bring the batteries into a warmer area for the winter. They will last longer. ❤ The meal looked great. If I leave now, and drive really fast, I could be there by lunch on Saturday! Lol!😂 Keep mommy reaching her goals Kaden!

I listen to an audiobook or podcast while doing yard work or even just blast some great tunes and the time just flies. Also choosing low maintenance landscaping like native plants will reduce the time needed to care for it all.

I usually cook dinners from scratch almost every night since I love cooking and finally have time for it now. Sometimes I "freestyle" something by using the ingredients from my fridge without going shopping to make a meal.
I always make a list before going to a store and stick to it.
I always compare prices before buying something online. Just because Amazon provides a convenience, that doesn't mean its prices are the best.

I have had great success with the EGO battery operated lawn equipment. Love my EGO mower (it folds up and stands up). It is still going strong in its 8th year. Wow, what a little work horse.

I feel like its satisfying mowing the lawn, its exercise and i enjoy maintaining all aspects of my home. And its cheaper to do it myself as well

I'm simplifying my eating! That plus decluttering and I appreciate more what I have.

Frozen veggies are generally healthier too. They’re frozen at peek freshness 😊
