Honestly, as a viewer I prefer to disable shorts on Desktop/web. That means no shorts recommendations, no shorts in my subscription feed, and no auto-playing/next up shorts on 16:9 desktop experiences. Shorts analytics data is nice, but low priority to me as a creator. Although an easy way to separate watch time hours data from videos/shorts is the only high priority analytics data I can think of. Especially since shorts watch time doesn't count towards YPP, and you can only check watch time hours for videos+shorts combined... this is a very important piece of data to check whether you you are still above 4000 hrs .

I'm unclear as to the purpose allowing viewers to create from our posts and then we don't know about it. What is the reason for offering this 'feature' to the viewer? I know I'm missing something because YT has offered amazing features. This one has me baffled though. ~Laurie ✌️❤️🙂

❤Week 3 of trying to get creators of Youtube to notice this message ❤
Please please please consider adding the following very minimal features to make streaming on Youtube a better experience for streamers AND for viewers:
1. Moderators being able to start a live chat poll
2. Timed live chat polls
3. Ability to gift memberships to concrete friends/viewers
4. Members not seeing ads on the concrete channel, whether during streams or long-form content

Thank you ❤ I want to continue streaming on Youtube, although all my content creator friends are persuading me to change to Twitch, but sometimes it is very difficult to be confident with this since the lacking features make it so hard 🥺

It would be great if there was an option to respond to comments via video, WITHOUT having to post it as a Short that goes onto the channel. Like, I might want to respond with a Short just for that person and those who see that comment, not as an "official" Short on the channel. This would allow more relaxed interactions among professionally kept channels and their millions of viewers. (Also, I think there is a feedback problem with the mic you guys used in this video, you can hear it wearing headphones.)

Please allow channel creators to see youtube channel names instead of handles for comments. They changed this without warning.

Could you please add a dedicated tab for Shorts on Studio Desktop in the Content section? As a creator of both types of content (Shorts and regular videos), my Content section looks really cluttered now and it's very difficult to manage all the videos from there. I believe this shouldn't be too hard to implement, all the more so that this has already happened on Mobile. But for us Desktop users out there, this is quite frustrating.

And also, it would be great if you could bring back the option to select a thumbnail for a Short between three random snapshots from that Short on Studio Desktop. That was extremely useful, but for some reason it's been gone for many months now.

I’ve just been flagged for “reused content” I’m IN all of my content! How can I reuse myself? Made an appeal, denied (no one watched it)! What am I supposed to do?! I had this happen in January and they approved my appeal immediately but now it keeps getting denied. I have not changed anything on my channel, I don’t have a host, it’s just me, my face, my voice, my video games, idk how this is possible or how to fix it! Now they want me to wait 90 days to reapply but why? I did nothing wrong! I own all of my content 😭
I’ve been doing this for 5 years why would I ruin my channel?!

YouTube needs to stop holding accounts hostage to old phone numbers (even after updating the overall Google account phone number)
