Diamagnetic road materials and a magnetic field emitters are the basics. The problem is repaving the roads with diamagnetic materials to make this travel possible.

The other option is the use of a controlled matter/anitmatter reaction to create a gravity bubble that is paired with DE technologies. Those vehicles can fly to the moon.

According to snopes, this car is not real. The concept is real, Wang Jia really sent the idea in and won. Her reward was not to see it actually be made, but to see the idea come to life in film. And I mean come on, it looks digitally edited in the video itself.

What a great promotional idea for VW.... fake a flying car to get their name in the spotlight. Pure German genius.

I couldnt agree more. She designed a frickn CAR for Volkswagen, give her some cash. People got to eat.

Cool design but the truth is hundreds of other people probably submitted floating car designs. This contest took place all over China after all. Hers was chosen because her home town had this special metal in it. I might be uninformed in which case just ignore this, but I'm pretty sure she didn't design the inner mechanics. Course as its a contest I would also expect more than a blueprint.

Given that he concept is impossible to recreate in real life, the prize is probably appropriate.
As far as marketing goes, she should be compensated for being used in this manner. However, that would have had to have been specified in the contest agreement she signed.
