Wave of anti-LGBTQ laws passed across country

More than 500 bills restricting the rights of LGBTQ people have been introduced across the country this year. Seventy-seven of those bills have been passed, affecting education and health care. Paula C. Johnson, law professor at Syracuse University's College of Law, joins CBS News to discuss.

Persuading children that their problems are caused by being in the wrong body IS a serious problem. Sexualising explicit matter in libraries that encourage changing gender to young people should be banned.

The framing of this issue is so TRASH? why don't these news reporters NOT tell ppl what "gender affirming care" looks like, show the specific books that parents don't want there kids exposed to and videos of so called "family friendly drag shows...tf pisses me off!

You can't serve a minor alcohol, just as we can't expose them to sexually suggestive content. Most people see 'drag shows' as sexual in nature, to show off their bodies. The examples mentioned here are just people in drag. Pretty sure that these laws are targeting establishments to get them to keep adult shows only for adults.
