Today my great aunt passed away at 8am. I started passing this song around to my cousins so they would find comfort in losing their grandma. She was the chief of the family and even though it is a theoretically distant side of the family to me, throughout my 29 years of life, I was always welcomed as another grandson in her home. And this is what she built, a solid united and beautiful family, her house was the central reunion spot and the table was always full with all of us together, sharing delicious meals. And that is the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
