Great, honest, obviously-not-sponsored video! You are such a down-to-earth person with no BS about you, and that’s so refreshing. Too many other reviewers are basically disguised salespeople for product placement. You can tell when they all simultaneously start detailing cars with the same products. NO WAY that happens in real life. These days it’s hard to tell if the reviewers aren’t just touting a product because they got free samples or were paid behind the scenes. As for the blower, I was strongly considering the BigBoi and had it pending in the online cart, but saw an earlier post of yours and changed my mind. So, I decided to save space in my garage AND money in my pocket by using the blower side of my shop vac. It has a filter and it blows heated air at a very high rate with various attachments that didn’t cost extra. It works great! Previously, I’ve used an electric Toro leaf blower, but that big unit gets unwieldy and heavy in a hurry. Not so with the lightweight vacuum/blower hose and nozzle! Keep up your good, honest work!

That is ingenious! Never thought of it and the ones here are like $600 but the pet dryer is a fraction of that and includes speed and temperature controls. Thanks for the tip!!!!

I stumbled accross this video by chance. Totally agree with it 100%, I'm a keen amateur detailer, not a pro and bought my dryer, having spent a fortune on it, and started using it on every weekly wash, but it just turned into a ball ache. I still use it, but not as often. I also use mine probably more on the interior these days than the exterior. Great video, very interesting

That’s exactly what I’ve got and use. Towel dry and then blow out the difficult areas. Great for warming up tyres prior to putting on a dressing.

I bought a harbor freight cordless leaf blower. Its portable and light and works great. Has a soft nozzle so if I bump the car it doesnt damage it. I am not a pro car detailer though and only use it on my show car when I detail it for shows. Older classic cars hold alot of water in places that you cant get with a towel and that can set you up for future rust.

I use the EGO 5800 leaf blower. Had a Metrovac which I absolutely hated, a pain to unravel, plug in, drag around the car, constantly getting snagged and falling over etc. The leaf blower is not only more powerful but it's so convenient, just pick it up and go. 2-3 minutes around the car and the job is done.

You’ve just saved me £200 shelling out for one of the fancy car dryers, I’ll be buying this one instead. Affiliate commission coming your way 🤑 One thing I really like about your channel is you don’t spend ages waffling on about irrelevant crap like some others do 👍🏻

Very similar to my car dryer...
I had the choice.... Based on colour..
Pink pet dryer £48
Black car dryer £150
Chrome bike dryer £200

I messaged the seller to make sure of my suspicions...
They are all the same unit except for the label and the colour.
I bought the pink one... It works great. Ive lengthened the cable and put some casters on so I can drag it around.
I found some cheap flexible pond hose, (very similar to hoover pipe) to make a longer hose.

I’ve had mine for 3 years using it at least twice a week, for blowing out the panel gaps and for drying the dog after his weekly bath

That's a great idea and I will be getting a pet dryer now for sure. I currently towel dry my car and then use a Karcher WD1 vac in blower mode to dry the mirrors, tyres etc but a pet dryer looks more powerful

Some of the Karcher vacuum cleaners have a powerful blow function. They have a refurbished outlet where they are a fair bit cheaper than new.

I use a pet dryer myself. They went up to £80ish last year good to see they have come back down.
I love the fact you can get warm air.
They only draw back I found is the length of the hose would be nice to be able replace it with something longer.

Hi man, just want to say a big thank you for ALL the info you share. I cleaned a friend's car using your and forensic details methods and a good shampoo ( karcher cos it came with the k2 ) and it came up so well! Her friend saw it and asked if I could clean her car. Excellent! Many thanks, genuinely.

Thanks dave for clarifying about the drips after drying lol, had this problem many times and it used to drive me crackers especially when you knock on the customers door to say your finished and you get a streak of water running down the door, embarrassing sometimes. I have a metro vac side kick it’s ok for doing grills, mirrors, door shuts and badges but a whole car I’d say no it’s too small. I have even seen some detailers use an 18v cordless hand blower it does the same but without the worry of power cords scratching bodywork.

Iv had my cheap pet dryer for about 4 years now and still good. I only use it for wheels mirrors and the window rubbers so the windows don’t smear when I put them down.
