Recording portions of the screen has always been possible using Quicktime, when you start recording a popup appears that tells you to click to record the whole screen or drag from the popup out to record only a specified section. Actually, the whole recording interface seems snapped out of Quicktime to make it more accessible but there's barely anything new about it.

I added the test version of Mojave to my 2012 MBP. I know this is still a beta version, but it has made my computer so slow! I like "stacks", but that's really it!

Dark mode definitely. I use the MacBook Air and the screen is poor for black text. Under high brightness the font is obscured by the brightness. Will definitely enjoy a darker mode.

And I can’t wait for iOS apps to come over, won’t feel so under updated. MAC apps seems to get less love than iOS ones.

How is the performance of macOS Mojave? I know it's a beta, or alpha I should say, but I heard Apple is trying to focus on performance over new features.

Everything looks ok but... The dark mode isn't the nicest one. Windows 10 and most of the Linux themes (quality ones) gives better looking for dark modes. And the whole UI of MacOS started to become old. I think they should start to refine UI for the next major change.
