ADOPTED: Gabe checking out the yard

Gabe's eyes reveal to us that he's an old soul in a puppy's body -- they are as beautiful as he is and they get us EVERY S*I*N*G*L*E time! This boy is a superstar cuddler. He doesn't LIKE to cuddle -- he LOVES to cuddle...and I mean in-your-face cuddle. He likes to have skin-to-fur contact whenever he can. Need a furry blanket? Gabe is your man! :)

Gabe is crate and house-trained and is doing very well at learning his household manners. He is working on basic commands and the importance of keeping all 4 feet on the floor (no jumping!) :) He has mastered "sit," "down," and "stay." If you are looking for a walking buddy, Gabe does GREAT on a leash and he is a great car rider, too. Gabe gets along well with other dogs with proper introduction and, once he is comfortable, he LOVES to play, play, play! He is also good with kids and indifferent to cats.

Our adoption fee is $175.

*All dogs receive the following prior to adoption: Distemper/Parvo Vaccine, Rabies Vaccination, Heartworm Test & Treatment (if needed) Spay/Neuter (no dog will ever be adopted out without being altered), and Microchip.
*Puppies too young for rabies or final boosters will need to be vaccinated post-adoption at the expense of the adopter.
*All adopters must be at least 21 years of age.
*We will only place dogs with indoor ONLY homes.
*A home visit and application are required prior to adoption.
*We do check home owners insurance or with your landlord to ensure pit bull type dogs are accepted in your home or apartment.

IMPORTANT: Many homeowner's insurance companies have breed blacklists or "dangerous dogs" lists which include, but are not limited to, pit bulls, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Akitas, American Bulldogs, Chows and wolf-hybrids and WILL NOT insure you if they reside in your home or may cancel your insurance if you add a dog of these breeds to your home. If you rent, landlords may also have these same breed restrictions due to their insurance policies. Please check your homeowner's insurance policy or ask your landlord regarding breed discrimination before submitting this application to adopt a pit bull type dog.
