I didn’t have the spin problem. I tested these out today and the 7i with the s300 120 spun at 7500. The s300 105 was more around 6500. Swing speed on the 7i averaged a little over 95mph. They didn’t have an x100 shift to try but I have to say I really liked the s300 105 but I’ll try again tomorrow and have a go with an x100 in a different club and see how it feels

I have the forged c300’s and absolutely love them, not a distance iron but that’s not a big part of my game anyways, the feel is incredible and I love the sound of them

Wilson my front runner as I’ve always found Wilson as good as any other but so much cheaper here in the Uk by 30-50%.

my irons before my current set were in the family tree of these, Di7's which i still have in garage and let anyone staying with me use. Wilson have always made quality, no nonsense clubs but just never seem to have the appeal of the big manufacturers. nice review mate!

But You shouldn’t even mention “7i” when the loft is 27 deg lol .. doesn’t even make sense anymore! Super game improvement is not game improvement when the players irons are going same distance when comparing same loft to super game improvement irons .. it’s all shady marketing lol
compare it to 28 to 29deg irons for dispersion, forgiveness, distance and spin rate.

Speaking about ‘jacked up lofts’, the 7 iron goes high and as far as a 5 iron but is a 7 iron length. Surely that’s got to be easier to hit?

I'm looking to change my irons and the Wilson D9 are very interesting but I'd like to know the difference with the D7 kit. It's very strange that here in Canada, the price of the D9 is cheaper thant the D7 and in USA, it's seems to be the opposite.

Do you think that the "jacked" lofts are a result of Byson's "same length clubs" and the ability to launch any club.
Of course he has the speed and strength, but maybe Cobra developed some technology that is now seeping into the other club manufactures.
Just a thought.
