How to build the Spherical Rotation 56 LED [...] kit - Part 2 - The LED Arc

I bought this "Spherical Rotation 56 LED Lamp POV Rotating Clock DIY Part+TTL Serial Downloader" from eBay, and it came without a manual, of course. So in this video series I will be building the kit until it is complete, working and reprogrammed.

In this video I will be construction the LED Arc and zooming in on how I mount the LEDs on the side of the PCB.

Hello Bas, Thank you for taking the time to record and explain the procedures for putting this together! It was the deciding factor for me to give it a shot. I just finished my own (well the one with two spheres). Your videos and links were very helpful.
Id like to share some advise from my own personal exp i hope you don't mind..

I found that tinning all the points on both the led board and main board with little beads of solder is just enough to fill the voids between the two boards so when you position them together it automatically holds itself up and is just a matter of dragging from the top to bottom to get them soldered. For me using the paper seemed like it would be very tedious and hard to line correctly.
Also, on my kit it may vary, but using both positions for the counterweights got rid of almost all vibrations. Maybe it would be worth a shot to try it with both counterweights installed.

Dude thank you so much! There were not even a schematic included. How can they do that. Also this part demotivated me, looks to hard to do! They shouldve had LEDs on there already

better rather the company do that half way and half kit at home
