My dad has had his flight cancled 5 times already.!! He was supposed to be here Christmas eve and has yet to arrive! He has been stuck in California since.

Years ago I was stuck in Chicago overnight on an Amtrak trip from Kansas City to Michigan. They had phones set up for us to call home for free (back when long distance calls cost extra), and they gave us a voucher good for a hotel room and two meals. That's the way to treat customers when it's out of a company's control.

I avoid Southwest Airlines. I don't care how cheap the tickets are. The few times I've flown with them, there have been problems, even on good weather days in the summer.

Dear Southwest: You are the Weekest link in the US economy. People missing getting back to work, hotels affected by cancellations, people paying dog sitters more, it just goes on and on. Time to re-evaluation point to point flights over hub and spoke.

Makes me happy that I dont fly. From getting shaken down like a common criminal to having flights cancelled to disappearing/stolen baggage. NOT worth the hassle.

Got to the airport at 10:30am on 12/26, stood in line for 4 hours to get my southwest voucher, booked a one way with United to Huntsville AL, that was supposed to take off at 5:40 PM, it’s not 7AM and waiting on a crew so we can take off

Discount air carrier. Does not have a reciprocal agreement with other other airlines!
